LateNightBanner.png

Thank you for playing the game! The feedback has been awesome. We're definitely going to continue and make this in to a full game.

We have new stuff planned for it, and we've already done most of the fixes needed.

This has been an awesome first Ludum Dare, we will definitely be back for the next one!

Hello, we made a game where you destroy anime, with anime

Some stuff didn't make it in to the final game! But we're proud of how much we got done. It was a load of fun. We combined Tower defense with a shuffle card game.

Toppen Ultimate Anime Defense

Hello everyone! Some really amazing projects this Ludum Dare :)

We tried out Tower Defense + Card Game. We mostly focused on the Shuffling aspect of a card game which was a challenge for balancing, but overall a lot of fun! We added a lot of refences also, so we hope you enjoy them if you get them!

Here is an early version of testing one of the defenders "One Punch Chan".

We're working on a new version that will be out sometime after the jam. This will include a lot of the feedback that was given, as well as features that we planned and didn't make it. We perhaps will add a few more references and achievements also!

Thanks to everyone who has given feedback so far! It has been fun!

MOODFOOD - The Art

Hey all! I'm Layla. I did the Art, some programming and Writing on MOODFOOD. This is my third Ludum Dare!

The main programmer on MOODFOOD did a post which you can see HERE!

I'd like to share the artistic goal of MOODFOOD, and also show some concepts that were done for it before pixel designs!

I was tasked primarily with the art direction of MOODFOOD and also the writing which in return gave me a lot of control over the universe that I wanted to portray in this project. MOODFOOD is a retro-inspired game set in a cyberpunk based universe.

The Governess Concept Art

My workflow varied on this project, main characters like The Governess and even the player received concept art whereas most of the enemies didn't. The enemies were mostly just drawn into pixel art with no sketches, and luckily their designs seemed to work out! My main goal was getting good looking enemies as quickly as possible so when ready to be implemented the sprite artwork would be available.

The Three Pets of the Governess!

For the story direction with MOODFOOD, I didn't want to make it heavily serious. I used a lot of 80's slang (which assisted well in the retro and Cyberpunk vibes). My main goal was to give the player as much story as possible in a short statement (Announcement from the governess).

Overall this was a really fun Ludum Dare! I'd like to thank everyone for the great feedback and also compliments on the art and writing of the game!
