Hello everyone !
This is my first Ludum Dare’s compo and I’m as excited as everyone here.
But when I woke up this morning and saw the theme, I was a little bit disappointed… The truth is, I was planning to use one of the character I drew a few weeks ago and do it as a personal challenge, but I can’t manage to match it with a minimalist game concept.
I gave myself 2 more hours to think about it.
So, we’ll see…

I really wish I could submit my game for the compo, but due to a lack of motivation the first day, it’s gonna be hard.
Here is a sneak view of the start animation. First time I do animation / pixel art /art for a game. In other words, I’m suffering. 😀
Woaw, I couldn’t make it to the compo, so I’m now aiming for the jam.
I’ve seen a game really similar to mine, more or less same theme and gameplay. But I think both games will have really different vibes. And I love how the guy handle his vision of it (you can try his game here by the way).
Anyway, I’ve finished the coding part and most of the animations. But my game needs sounds and more art assets. Here is a taste of what it’s gonna look like.
I’ve spent my day trying to fix big issues with the build I’ve posted yersteday (or in the morning), but I finally made it in less than 72 hours. 😀
Now I’m tired, so I just copy the description I’ve put with my game: Sunset Death.
Sunset Death is 2 player duel game:
– The goal is to kill your opponent 3 times before he does the same.
– You can dash, backdash (both only once in a fight) and slash with your sword.
Controls are simples:
– P1: s (backdash) d (slash) f (dash)
– P2: l (backdash) k (slash) j (dash)
The game is a mix of reflexes, mindgame and alea. But the most important is that it keep the fight simple. Everything is in the atmosphere.
This is my first time making a game in solo, my first time doing art for game and my first time animating something. That was REALLY TOUGH !

This weekend I’ve made a game with my girlfriend and it was really cool. It was her first jam as an artist and she did great !
In our game you’re playing a NAZA employee. You’re working very hard when suddenly, someone tries to hack your computers. Do your best as the fine engineer you are, and make this madness stop before it causes you some troubles.
