Mage Game bug fixes

  • Decreased player height/increased jump height so traversing level 2 is less finnicky.
  • Blocked off unintentionally skippable part of level 2.
  • Fixed crate collisions so now crates don't push through walls.

Mage Game Any%, lol

A friend of ours decided to speedrun our game upon playing it, so I thought I'd make a post to show it off! Note that our submission now includes a fix for the level 2 skip, so 36 seconds is now likely impossible. ;)

Thank you everyone for your feedback so far!

Lost & Found - Windows version available

Hi all! We initially decided to only include the HTML5 build of our Delivery game made in Unity for the sake of simplicity, but have decided to also provide a windows version, which has vastly superior visuals. So the purpose of this post is twofold: 1. Promote the usage of our windows version for all that play our game (opposed to the HTML5 version). 2. See if anybody has any pointers for remedying lighting discrepancies between builds in Unity.

I've noticed other entrants with the same problem too, where lighting/shadows seem weaker or non-existant in their web build.

Firstly, here is our game running in HTML5. Looks alright, but could be much better. cat-webgl.PNG

And below is our game running on Windows. Notice the subtle and not so subtle differences.

1 - Check out the dashed circle around our cat. There is light emitting from his lantern (and also a spotlight on him as well).

2 - See how environment props cast shadows as Olive weaves between them.

3 - We have a dark fog -and some other settings- that help darken the distant background. This is more subtle than the first two.

So if you're curious about our game and happen to be running Windows OS, please download our game for the optimal experience! We would also love to share any findings here about web build lighting settings fixes to help anybody else out that is facing similar issues.

Thanks all, have fun!
