Shameless promotion of Dwammings!

Hello jammers and non-jammers! I'm having a lot of fun with this season's crop!

I'd really like for you to try our lovely little Lemmingslike called Dwammings. We've had a blast developing it and we're all super proud of what we've achieved. Now it's time for you to enjoy it as well! We'd love to receive some feedback too, so don't be shy :)

Look at this beaut!

Look at that grand total score! Only a mother could be proud of that. If you can do better than that leave us a screenshot (or better yet, video) in the Dwammings comments, I'd love to see!

You can see me panicking so many times in those two short minutes. I think we struck a nice balance with the difficulty where you need to develop some actual strategy to get a decent (or, uh, more than single-digit) score. Good luck with that!

Exclusive leaked insider development clickbait!

Ok not really. Well, I am the insider, I'm leaking it, it's exclusive to this post and it definitely is clickbait.

I had loads of fun developing Dwammings, and noticed I had a bunch of short screen captures left over from our communications within the team. Hope you enjoyed this little peek behind the scenes, and please do play our game and leave us some feedback, we love reading it!

We love hearing your feedback!

Look at those Dwammings bursting with excitement (battling a hangover), jumping (thrown) out of their wagon to start off a productive work day (mine booze and drink on the job)!

We've received so much more feedback on the game than we've anticipated, and even had the honor to have a some great streamers demonstrate how to set some actual high scores! We couldn't be happier with the response, including all those minor bugs reported, and the polish and feature suggestions that would have undoubtedly made for a better experience.

Thank you for being a wonderful community.

If you haven't checked it out yet, Dwammings is available on web, Windows and Mac. Please tell us your thoughts!

What's at the bottom? Seriously, I'm not sure

I think we managed to strike a pretty delicate balance with our game in 72 hours. I got to play it so little during development that I thought players would be pretty much doomed to constant failure and frustration, but now I can honestly say that @michaelhaughian has done a fantastic job balancing out the different features; several different streamers have shown us so. The game requires a couple of death runs before everything clicks together (getting a tutorial in there in time could have helped!), and one of the assignable jobs is a bit too expensive for practical use, but all in all the game turned out not only playable, but quite replayable. It was such a surprise to me, and I still enjoy seeing people fighting through the initial confusion to the point of mastering of our game.

Still, one question remains unanswered:

What's at the bottom of the mines?

I've seen people go far deeper than I've expected when I hardcoded the mines' depth into the game, thinking I'll deal with it later if it pops up as an issue. Until now, I don't think anyone has reached the bottom, and I'm only pretty sure I know what would happen if they would. If there's one thing that would complete this stellar jam experience for me, it's if someone could reach it and tell us. I challenge you to be the one to do it!

Play Dwammings and teach the devs how the game ends!
