big ol' posty

so my compo entry gravity trails has been out for a week now, and i would never have thought that this silly little game i made within a span of two days would receive this amount of love. it's been posted on reddit, featured on an indie site, and the amount of comments and reviews has just been astonishing (even more after posting it to newgrounds,) i seriously have to thank all of those who were helpful and nice and those who organized this event and motivated me to actually get this thing finished. it's been so much fun.
i guess this should be a post-mortem? i haven't actually made a blog post on this site yet, so this is long overdue hah
i never realized how the difficulty or the controls could differ so much from how i saw it, since i heard some people had trouble controlling the character in deciding whether they moved left or right when going on another planet, and maybe the sections got a little bit too hard for such a short game. lots of stuff could definitely have been improved.
although i'm generally proud how this turned out, and how much i could actually put in before i had to post it. i never really go around to doing that with my projects, with the whole finishing & publishing phase, and it was hard to tell when i actually had to cut it off and stop making levels for it. i don't even know if i have the motivation to update it anymore lol i'll probably get around to doing it sometime
again, thank you all for the wonderful amount of support you've given me and i hope i can participate in this jam again in the future!
[also, if you haven't found it, there's a secret if you go back to the starting planet after reaching the first checkpoint ]
