This is my first Ludum Dare Jam and I really enjoyed it. Definitely going to participate in more in the future.

I didn’t have a lot of time to spend on my entry but I’m pretty pleased with the outcome even if the theme of my game might not be so great.

So this was my first Ludum Dare and I think it has gone pretty well. I kept my idea simple and came out with a game I’m happy with.

F.U.M.S

(Fucked up Missile System)

The goal is pretty simple, just survive for as long as possible and try to blow up as many missiles as possible. However to make things trickier the missiles will only explode when you are standing still.

What went right

• At first I didn’t quite like the theme but I quickly came up with an idea I thought would be interesting and make a fun game
• Actually finished the game
• I stuck to keeping it simple

What went wrong

• Didn’t plan enough time to implement everything. I feel the game is a bit too simple
• SFX are very sparse
• Art/Menu could of spent more time polishing these

Overall I really enjoyed this ludum dare and will definitely be entering the next one!

Its been great playing all the entries and receiving some very positive feedback. It has inspired me to keep working on F.U.M.S. Its a pretty simple game at the minute and I think that its one of the good things about it but I do want to add a bit more depth to it.

I thinking of either

1. Added a power up that the player can turn on and let the missiles past through them
2. Or a speed boost to get away from the missiles easier.

Also these would be linked to some sort of stamina/resource that you only have a limited supply of.
