I'm in!

Last time i participated me and my friends couldn't finish the game in time, now i will be going solo(still in the Jam)) hope i can make it in time! First time making a game on Linux(C++ and SFML) really really hope i know how to publish it to other OS.

What i came with up until now

Sooo i'm making a roguelike(to say the very least), kind of sad that this all i could do in 5 hours, but at least now i have a random map generator and i can start making the gameplay properly :D Some images of the maps that my game is making.Captura de tela de 2018-04-21 03-00-56.pngCaptura de tela de 2018-04-21 03-01-04.pngCaptura de tela de 2018-04-21 03-01-12.pngCaptura de tela de 2018-04-21 03-01-21.pngCaptura de tela de 2018-04-21 03-01-37.png

Programmer art is on a whole new level

Almost 2 hours to end up doing this. And that's why i'm never the artist on my projects :D (This was supposed to be a tile map for the dungeons on my game, but i doubt someone can tell that) Captura de tela de 2018-04-21 13-51-21.png

Finished the progress of "today"

Kind of funny how last night i made a post going on about the map and now at around the same time i'm doing another... anyways now the map can be seen on the window! So no ASCII, tomorrow i will add the necessities the player will have (hunger, thirst, feber...) and some audio. Then i think the game will be pretty much complete Captura de tela de 2018-04-22 03-09-49.png On the left side it is possible to see the ASCII map and on the right the one with gwaphics. Oh yeah, i also made a loooooooooooooooooot of programmer arts, kind of feel ashamed of publishing this with so many games on the website looking gorgeous, but still, i tried Dungeon.pngPlayer.pngSwing.png And now i need a long night of sleep, good night everyone o/ (Oh and note to myself, i need to stop making spritesheets with 32x32 of size and starting doing something larger, everything looks so small kkk).

Won't be able to make it in time :/

So i'll be blunt, i f#@$ed it up. I tried the best i could to finish the game in time but unfortunately every time i fixed a bug ten more would appear, without talking about when i would implement a new feature. The game, although not unplayable, has no goal in it, since i could not finish it, nor does it have some kind of challenge besides the thirst and hunger bars which, as of now, are the only things that can kill you. But i know what i did wrong (mostly lack of features on the framework i made before the jam began and procrastinating) and i'll try to do better on the next one (that is if i can actually participate in it kkkk), but still i'm really happy with what i could make using only C++, GIMP and SFML I'll probably continue the game, as a Realist Roguelike game has a lot of potential in it, so that's that but i want to know from you guys, should i publish my incomplete, bug mess of a game on the unfinished category? I'm asking this since, as i said, there's not really much on the game besides bugs and i really wish i could to the very least publish the game. .
