Hi, everyone a small question

First of all congratz for everyone who submitted a game and for the people who tried their best.

I have a question regarding post jam period, what now? should I not play with my itch.io game page at all until the period is over. and is there anything preventing me from updating the game? because in the Ludum Dare website it’s just the link to the Itch.io. and what is allowed for me to do can I fix small bugs or no?

A Huge Tip for future Jams, and a new Update on my Game

Hi Everyone,

just one Huge Massive Tip, please if your game is light enough that can be run on an HTML5/WebGL or if you're using Unity, then add that build to the game page, games that can be run from the browser is easily reviewed and rated.

For me I almost skip any game without an HTML5 build to be able to play more games.

Now to the Update, I usually love to do Code Devlogs on my games but this time I wanted to do something different and I made a video to talk about the Game Design Choices that I took to create UnderLoop for the Ludum Dare 47.

Don't forget to take care of your Itch.io Page!

Hi everyone,

Good luck in the upcoming jam, can't wait to participate.

I've created a full guide on how to level up your Itch.io game page so if you're an indie Dev or a game jammer or you use Itch.io for your games and projects.

you can see an example of the work here in my entry last Ludum Dare https://fadrikalexander.itch.io/underloop

The Most Important Tip in any Game Jam

Always let your game have a nice Cover photo, because of the thousands of games, people are drawn to good cover photos first.

most of the time when I look for games to try I try the one with cool cover photos it'll take you an hour or less to do but totally worth it

so what should you put in the cover photo?

1- Game Name 2- Game Genre and Mechanics in small words 3- HTML5 Icon if the game can be played on Web 4- Cool screenshot of your game in the background

here's my cover photo ItchioCover.png

and you can play my game from here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/into-king-rabbits-mansion

and don't forget to make your Itch.io game page look amazing with my tutorial:

Have a nice day everyone and let me know if you needed any help <3 <3 keep jamming

How to flip a genre upside down?

ItchioBanner.png that was my experiment this jam, and I targeted the Stealth Genre

so what I did is simple I fliped every core mechanic of it. stealth games are always slow so I tried doing it fast-paced also in stealth game, it's always hidden where you have to go and the area is small,so I built a massive mansion with an ability to see through walls.

but is the game good or fun? that's up to you to test it out, for me I'm super proud about this game and looking to see how I can improve it in the future
