In a post-apocalyptic world mankind bound their souls to cars to stay alive. But now the ones remaining fight over the scarce resources left.

Gather oil to keep your soul living. Gather scrap to improve your body. Beware! Everyone wants to survive.

Stay alive as long as posible in this Survival-Racing game as you fight over resources day and night.

We’re a team of four programmers who dove headfirst into Ludum Dare with just 48 hours on the clock. Monday came knocking and we had to get back to our day jobs 😅

Still, what an incredible Jam.

Descent Protocol is our little passion jam project where you control a massive drill on a race to the center of the Earth, tasked with stabilizing the core before it’s too late. Manage fuel, cool the engines with water, and play minigames to keep the whole rig from blowing apart.

We had some features we wanted to implement like upgrades, extra hazards, more drill minigames but hey, time’s a beast. That said, we’re super proud of what we built, and we had an absolute blast bringing it to life.

Big shoutout to the Ludum Dare community and the organizers, you’re all amazing and inspiring.
