LD23

Base code

Woke up half an hour before the theme was released. Ripped out the content from a Unity project so I have a base. It’s just a few generic libraries I wrote and a folder structure. Do whatever you want with it (nothing I presume).

LD23 Base

If the website wasn’t being hammered this would have gone up on time.

The player and his grandfather.

Aiming for a little adventure game. Talking, inventory etc.

In again, for once

Finished three times before. Was pretty hectic last two years so didn’t manage it, but I’m starting a new job on Monday so this is the perfect time for it.

I’ll decide on the day but I’ll either go with UE4 or HTML5. Both are systems I’m trying to learn. In a pinch I’ll go back to Unity if I decide I need the familiarity.

If I can think of one, I’m going to try to design a card game to fit the theme. I’ve been wanting to digitize one that I designed a while ago so this would be good practice.

Submersible – GDD

I’ve decided to stick with my idea of making a card game. So I came up with a design doc which I think should make a vaguely interesting game.

It will be asymmetric, with Player 1 controlling a Battleship and a Chopper, and Player 2 controlling two Submarines. They will use cards to move the units and attack. Stealth will play a major part, especially for the weaker submarines.

Here’s the design doc:

It’s probably too much work for the time limit, but I’m keen to learn Unreal Engine 4 so here goes.
