So seems like I'm all done with what I can do for this Jam. Our programmer @joshh is hard at work getting everything together for the deadline,
This one was tough in a few ways. We tried to take on a more complex dialogue system, and while I feel it worked, it took a LOT of time to complete even one character, much less actually code the labyrinthine paths into the game.
And this was a more serious game (though still somewhat silly to be sure) than our last one, so the writing was a bit harder, felt like treading a fine line in some places.
We had some big dreams, like animation or even a driving game on top of the dialogue, that we didn't hit, though there are improvements that we will make as time goes on.
So all said, I enjoyed this quite a bit, I just wish I'd had more time...but we learned a lot, and I see a lot of potential in Deadlyft in the future!
Anyway, check out our game https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/52/$315097 should be live soon!
Not sure how much reach I have on here, but we just had a big bug fixed in our game (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/52/deadlyft) and just wanted to get the new version out there!
