Sadie's Stabby Sword Story development continues post game jam!

This Ludum Dare, we worked on a game which combines Artillery (think old school Worms) + elements of Hack and Slash/Beat em up. Our end result was a game starring our Princess Sadie and a Sentient Sword set out to protect her from the evil slimes!

If you haven't got the chance to play it yet, give it a shot! It's a fun little level based game, built around a (hopefully) fun mechanic and can be completed in about 30 minutes (depending on how good you are :P) Each level consists of different enemy types and varying layout to keep things fresh. See how far you can make it and let us know in the comment section!

We are also looking forward to playing some more games this weekend, drop us a link in the comments section of the game and we'll try it out. We do prioritise those who drop ratings and feedback!

After seeing the positive feedback from streamers/people who tried the game, we felt really motivated to keep working on the game and porting it to mobile.

We have a lot of polishing and fine-tuning to do and plan on adding multiple more levels. Please do let us know what you feel about the game and any ideas you think would be fun! We shall keep the Ludum Dare community updated on how it goes.

Give us some feedback if you haven't already!

Some of you might have seen our Hack n Slash + Artiller mashup "Sadie's Stabby Sword Story" around recently and might know that we're planning on working and polishing it for a proper release.

For this to happen though, we still need to gather feedback. There are some obvious bugs here and there and we already know that the sword mechanic can feel a bit off at times, but we would appreciate if you could give us some feedback on the core gameplay and whether it feels fun.

We plan on porting to mobile, so we would appreciate you giving us some insight as to whether or not you would see this game working well on mobile.

If you haven't gotten a chance to check the game out yet, here it is! - https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/sadies-stabby-sword-story

Make sure to leave your games in the comment section of the game if you'd like us to give you some feedback too! We're also all about helping other devs out with their projects aswell :D
