I am creating my game from scratch using the Go programming language and have finally laid the groundwork for getting the first texture on the screen.

Caveman Rocks!
The code is here: github.com/gonutz/ld36
If you have Go and MinGW installed, you can build it yourself with a simple double-click on the build.bat.
The caveman is now falling down.
Loading Tiled maps and having collision detection for the caveman working.

Falling Down
Code: github.com/gonutz/ld36
I have finished my game!

Push it to the limit!
SPOILER ALERT this shows you how to solve all the little puzzles.
Be sure to play the game before watching this. Here is the Windows exe: Game for Windows
It is time to wake up here in central Europe and get coding!
When I go to my user page and click "Following" it spins forever, not showing me anything. Are others having the same problem?
If you love the Go programming language as much as I do and want to create your game in it, I have some libraries for that in my Github account.
My entry for LD 36 was created in Go and runs on Windows without a C Compiler and without any extra dependencies, just a single .exe file

Here are some Go libraries for creating games:
I hope these libraries provide value for fellow Go game programmers :-)
Here is a little warm up game that I created in Go in under two days, with my little friend Jolina who provided me with graphics and sound:

It is a soccer game for two players :-)
Here is my old guy running. Quickly alternating LEFT and RIGHT arrow keys will make him sprint, like in the classic summer/winter games series.

There is now a male nurse to give you your main objective: get to the remote control first to get to choose the channel!

This "home for the elderly" starts to feel like a real place ;-)

With this game I focussed on the graphics and animations and thus did not have much time left for the actual gameplay.
I still like the outcome, I am proud of the animations, everything was drawn by hand.
What do you think? Is it OK to have a small game that looks good, or do you rather focus on gameplay?

Hey guys, take a look at this cool game I found, it needs some ratings:

I think this game is great and more people should look at it.
Hey there, this game is really cool, just don't forget to hit SPACE:

It deserves way more than 10 ratings, believe me! It is playable in the browser.
