First time participating in Ludum Dare. Is that something I should know?
I know the main rules but are there some unspoken rules or something I should do? (I participated in some other jams earlier but in Ludum Dare this is my first time)

My first time participating in Ludum Dare. I'm solo developer and I'm 17 years old. My goal is to get the first place, I guess. I was really inspired by mobile game "Hill Climb Racing" but the concept is a bit different.
Well, good luck everyone!
Yes, you. About game: inspired by Hill Climb Racing - driving simulator. I added interesting core mechanic - you lost signal and stop if you're too far from "radiotowers". Give it a try! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/59/distant-driving
(i know the quality is very low but lets just pretend it to be a high-quality footage)
Also from tomorrow I'll start rating the games, so feel free to write your game in comments, I wanna play a lot of games this jam!
For this jam I made Distant Driving - a simulator driving game inspired by Hill Climb Racing - popular mobile game that was made by Fingersoft in 2012. Maybe 2-3 weeks with good artist (i'm not that good at drawing) and you won't notice many differences between those two. It's actually kinda crazy that only 14 years passed and what big studios did now I (just solo 17 years old developer) can do. And I've seen a lot of even better games in this jam
Just wanted to say that everyone can do good games now if you try really hard (and of course for you to see and try my game :smirk:)

I'm 17 years old solo developer on Unity and my hobby is making videogames. I tried Ludum Dare for the first time. It was a great experience, usually when I participate in jams I can use premade assets and it's much easier, so it was an incredible challenge to make all the graphics, sounds and etc. all by myself
Well, I think this is somewhere close to what I excepted. Made some mistakes in development and some bad concepts in core mechanic so I really understand why I'm here
However 51st in graphics really surprises me. I'm not an artist or something, I was just redrawing some pictures from the internet in one style
I'm planning to make a post jam update to do better mechanic, some more levels and add more sounds
