Ludum Dare 49

I have an idea (and a vague plan)

I had to sleep on it but I think I've come up with something. It will be bear-based because bears are awesome.

We have bears!

..Sort of. I have been learning C++ and SDL over the last year but didn't fancy my chances at building something in 48 hours using that so I'm retreating back to JavaScript. I think tomorrow may be spent making my bears pretty..

Day 2 of Compo!

11 hours to go! All the basic mechanics are in place. I don't think my game is going to be particularly ground-breaking but I'm hoping it will be silly and fun.

I might need to draw some textures soon...

Finished! With 15 minutes to go

I'm delighted to have finished in time for the Compo. I made some last minute beeps to give the game some music. If anyone plays this, I'll be delighted!

Bears for my first Ludum Dare

I finished Bear Ferry Simulator just in time for the compo. It has no sound effects but I was able to quickly make some synth-beeps and give it a soundtrack just before the deadline. It is web-based and written entirely in JavaScript + CSS, initially to "stick with what I knew" but I quickly regretted that.

This is my first game (not just for Ludum Dare!) and while it's a bit silly and simple, I'm proud of it. Would love to see people's thoughts. My partner and I are going to spend the next few evenings playing and rating other games; if you have a web-based game made in a similar fashion, please let me know as I'd love to play it.

Good luck to everyone getting finished for the jam!

Game(100).zip

Is anyone else's Downloads folder filling up with Game.zip, Game(1).zip, Game(2).zip, etc.? Really enjoying playing everyone's games!
