Since I probably not gonna have time for LD Compo, I’m gonna go for Jam instead.
Not sure what I’m gonna use. It’ll be something I’ve been wated to try. Either haXe + NME or LOVE2D.
I need an excuse to make a game with these new things I haven’t learnt, and that’s what LD is for, right? 馃榾
Depending on the time, I might stick to HTML5 + enchantJS, considering there isn’t that many HTML5 game in the contest, or at least as far as I know.
This is my first LD, so I’m excited!
Since I’ll only be free on Sunday anyway so might as well go for compo instead.
I’ll be using enchantJS and plugins/libraries they provide on the site at www.enchantjs.com
Sound effect is probably non-existence or by sfxr.
Music might be made by mixing song from MusicShake and pay $0.99 to download it.
Might make a text adventure game or little graphic. I spent the whole day teaching so I really need to hurry and keep up with this. 12 hours has already gone! >_<
Yeah, I’m starting from scratch. Mainly because I’m not gonna have time for art and I tried making a pixel art by myself and it takes so long (; w ; )
I was thinking of making a weird zoo game where you have to manage your animals by influencing the evolution. Exciting animal are weak but can get attention from audience and get more money, etc. But it’s too much so I’ll switch to a text adventure instead.
Still will be using HTML5 + enchantJS. I’ll also use the novel example on their website as a base.
Edit the sample of visual novel in enchantJS and got this to work. The engine is a bit clunky and if I’m going to make another visual novel I think I should just rewrite everything from scratch instead of work from their code :S
The game works on both desktop and mobile!
Finally I finished it!
Due to work, I have to start on Saturday’s evening. Still, it’s my first LD and I don’t want to give up. It’s an interactive fiction, nothing聽technically聽fancy, but I hope it’s enjoyable. At least the story and all the possible ideas were fun to come up with! Until I realized I didn’t have time to implement them all. D:
