I plan on going for Compo, but will most likely be forced into Jam nearing the end of day 2 lol
I will be using Unity, Blender (probably don't have time for textures though, we'll see), Ableton Live (my forte, I'm hoping the music at least stands out haha), and a 24pk of soda.
I tried my hand at freehanding my first ever pixel art, which is completely out of my boundaries lol you can completely tell by the bottom right corner among other things, but thought I'd share for shiggles!
(May as well get used to posting rough crap now! Consider it a warmup exercise ;D)
Edit*: Plus being a perfectionist has always been my downfall, so posting stuff that I don't deem "good enough for others to see" is a huge struggle for me (& the entire reason I've decided to do LD!). Must... resist... the delete... button.
What do the rules say about putting the core gameplay out for Compo deadline and a more polished version with non-programmer art/music for Jam deadline? ;D

My swami shooter PT for Ludum Dare 40 w/ placeholder art (and enemies disabled in this screen capture, just need to do their hp/power). The concept is that you're a mind-reader who regains his thought power (ammo) by reading people's minds. The more bad thoughts you get in your head, the tougher the enemies get, and the more you slow down due to emotional baggage. I intend to continue working on this after the jam and animating environment/music/post-processing changes to make it more distorted as you gain bad thoughts. The only way to make it better is to share in thoughts of love by reading the minds of positive people :)

Can someone do me a favor and tell me if that is submitted properly? I don't know if it actually counts as an LD40 submission or not. I don't remember hitting publish for this or anything, and I can't find it in the official game search, so I'm getting anxious :P
