My desk

My desk, taken with laptop camSo, this is my desk, laptop webcam took it, I’ll be working on my laptop, because it’s got much more power than the archaic testbox that’s in the image.

Dunno what more to say here, first time participant and all.

First meal & language stuff

My FoodMy first meal this is.

I’ll be using Java; with Slick as my media library, not sure about other stuff yet, depends on theme, and I’ll see that in a bit I suppose.

Limiting myself.

I am going to limit myself to 160 x 144 pixels, and those pixels can be white, black, or one of two shades of gray.

A quickly drawn head to get into the mood, the blue = transparant.

That sounds kinda monotonous. Can’t it be white, black, and two complementary colors?

Good idea! I will be using two as of yet undefined colors instead of the shades of gray.

Tools and setup, oh my.

Language: Java

Library: Slick2d

Platform: Browser

Resolution: 160×144, upscaled ×3

Colors: Black, White, and two as of yet to determined

Sounds: SFXR

Graphics: Paint.net

Music: Musagi, if I time left over.

YES, MA’AM!

Islands. Ideas.

I have some. Also, this would probably be a good time to announce my other two colors.

They will be light yellow and navy.

Time to gooooo!

Its a (sandy) island!

Not the most elegant solution, but it works.

So a tilebased island, huh? Looks a bit like my current approach, only that mine consists of ugly, square shaped programmer art boxes ^_^
