I love couch multiplayer games. Their shrinking popularity in mainstream gaming sucks imo, so it's always great to see them here in Ludum Dare.
Unfortunately, a lot of us who judge and rate Ludum Dare games do so on our own, so it can be hard to get good love and feedback for local multiplayer games. So I've compiled a list of some of the local multiplayer games I've found so far in LD38 (including the game my team made ).
To anyone who has a friend handy (and hopefully a couple controllers) -- please check out some of the couch multiplayer games in LD38! Also, to anyone else who made a local multiplayer game, please leave it in the comments, and I'll add it to the post.
Ours
2 player sports game where the ball is the Earth, but you’re also on the Earth… don’t think about it too hard. If you spin the ball, you spin the world. If you set the ball on fire, you set the world on fire. Destroy the Earth with your color of flames to win!
