LD27

Getting my LD on, for the first time

So I thought i’d attempt this whole LD thing, hope I can actually finish a game in time :)

Language: C++

Prerequisites: My own framework (Feanwork) written to work with SFML

IDE: VS 2012

Art: Paint.NET

Audio: sfxr and some other tool for random music? or maybe no music, I dunno.

My framework is available on GitHub (I wouldn’t use it though, since it has no documentation or comments, though I threw together a demo to demonstrate the use of the framework) and you can grab it right here

Wish everyone good luck!

I read it… Now I can go to sleep

I did it!

So I managed to actually finish my game for my first ludum dare, if I could have done anything better it would have been the graphics but I’m no artist. The game is definetly interesting and I got in all the features I wanted. I’ve been up so long now and I can hear my bed calling me, it’s been a very long haul.

You can see my game here: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-27/?action=preview&uid=25874

Half the battle

Well considering I decided to dive in with just the library  and no framework this time around I’ve done pretty well. Basic combat is in place and most of the (shockingly bad) artwork is complete, the visual styling just as amazing as my last entry.

Beautiful. Well that is half the battle, only 1 more day to go! wish everyone the best of luck but I need some sleep :)
