LD24

Finally I have my first snapshot. I feel I’m falling behind since this is my first LD and the game is quickly running out of time to be completed and it is nowhere near done.

I would love it if I could get people to goto my stream to watch me make the tri-hourly screenshots! It will also keep my from getting bored and tired and get the encouragement going! 馃槢

Ahh Ludum Dare once again. I am a 15 year old game developer from Canada and I will be participating in this August’s Ludum Dare. I participated in Ludum Dare 24 last August, although my noobishness didn’t know how to export a LWJGL game. Now I know how to use Java AWT, but I will likely use Unity 3D. Ludum Dare is big event on my livestream, I would appreciate a follow http://twitch.tv/jayitinc.

Nations Pre-Alpha Release (Progress)

Nations is a Strategy game based on games like Civilization. The idea of how it fits into the theme is that by default you have a 10 second time limit per turn. You can spend the in-game virtual currency to increase your time limit by 10. Currently in the Pre-Alpha Stage, this feature is not implemented yet, nor is any gameplay. BUT, I do have a working Map Editor which can Load, Save, and Edit maps.

I鈥檓 in!

I’ve participated in Ludum Dare, two times and both times didn’t go to well. First time I used Java and didn’t finish on time. Second time was last Ludum Dare with Unity and made an incomplete game. Now this time I am going on the low road with the jam to practice my newly learned XNA. This should be good. 馃榾

For the 3rd time I am entering Ludum Dare and streaming on http://twitch.tv/jayitinc. For the 2nd time I am using Unity. For the 1st time I am going to finish my game.

I don’t if I made one of these already or not? Meh…

I’m not sure how many Ludum Dare’s I’ve done but I started in August 2012, not just Ludum Dare but Game Development in general. So this is my 4 year Game Dev Anniversary!

I will be using Unity 3D and Visual Studio Community to develop the game. As well, I will be using Adobe Photoshop CC for art and Adobe Auditon CC for any sound editing.

Of course, I’ll be streaming all of my progress over on my Twitch channel and I will probably be keeping my Twitter updated!

Happy Coding!
