LD22

Finished

First off I’d like to say hi; I never really made a post saying ‘I’m in’. This is my first LD.

Well, I’ve finished. There are still a few things that I would prefer to sort more thorougly, but that would take more time than what I’ve got left. I have to say that my art skills really let me down here – but I suppose that’s to be expected in 48 hours.

Another thing that irked me was that I couldn’t figure out how to distribute the game; something which completely slipped my mind when preparing for it. Instead all I’ve managed to do is package up the source code and an XNA disributable. Still, t’s been fun to do, even if I hardly had any clue what I was doing. Looking forward to seeing what everyone else has done.

LD23

In again

Welp, this is the second ever LD that I’m going to be in for, and hopefully it’ll be a good one.  I’m probably not going to be dedicating all of the time to it (life does have a habit of going on), but I should be able to get a fair bit done. Whatever happens, It’s going to be MUCH better than my previous entry, as I have had a great deal more practice (plus I actually know how to publish the game this time – no more routing around in the files for the poor judges (Yeah –  sorry about that :P)).

WILL BE USING:

C#/XNA

Sfxr/Bfxr

Gimp

So there we go. Let’s have a good one.

(please win tiny world please win please win)

Ah, I see it’s that time of year again

Oh Ludum Dare, how I missed you. I recon I can put my hat into the ring, though I have got some other commitments, so can’t put the whole 48 hours in. Still, what’s life if not a challenge. Plus, considering the amount I’ve improved since last time I was able to do it I recon I’ll be able to put in a game that DOESN’T have killer bugs in it 😉

Speaking of which, for the few of you that played my last game (Tiny World), I’ve actually been working on turning it into a full, proper game (after the mechanics got a thumbs up from all the people who played it). Seeing as I’ve got an artist and everything, it’s looking preeettttyyy snazzy, if I do say so myself. Now, without further ado; *drumroll*

I shall be using:
C#/XNA

BFXR

Maybe Musagi for music if there’s time

GIMP Image editor

Pixel Edit (kindly provided from a previous LD)

Best of luck to all. Regardless of what the final product is, be proud of what you make.
