Looks like that time of the Ludum Dare again

Well, looks like it’s the time of the Ludum Dare where everyone begins writing “I’m In” posts, o I may as well do so too :3

I’m really excited this year, as it will be my first time alone using AS3(I’ve previously used stenyl to make a game, went horribly. Last time I entered the jam and scored 5th using Flashpunk). So this time I’m going solo using Flashpunk.

Tools:

-FlashDevelop (IDE)

-Flashpunk (library)

-GIMP/PdN (graphics, background)

-Blender (Might use for background if time is on my side)

-SFXR (sound effects)

-PXTone (music)

Here’s to everyone having another great Ludum Dare!

Yo, sup, Jello. I wish you luck trying to make good music, I guess? ~MK

I’m back for some game designing.

For those very few people, if any at all, who remember my game, the one with the carrots and the shield and the insane difficulty(I had to use Flashpunk’s debugger to even test run it), I’m back. This time, I’ll try to go easy on you guys and add some more content. I guess last time was a good experience, as your feedback did help.

So here is my loadout, almost the same as last time:

IDE: FlashDevelop.
Library: Flashpunk.
Art: GIMP, maybe inkskape, Krita or Blender.
OS: Windows or if I can set it up, Kubuntu.
Music: LMMS
Sounds: SFXR

I wish everyone a good time both making and playing, because that’s really all it’s about. You know, since you don’t really win anything. Except maybe fame I suppose.

LD26

My ridiculously average I’m in post.

I’m joining this next Ludum Dare because why not I enjoy creating crappy games that nobody will remember 7 years from now, and also because I’m getting close to done with getting my lÖve2D library running somewhat properly.

My tools of choice:
programming: Geany, unless I can find something better.
Art: Either Pinta or GIMP, maybe a mixture of both.
Language: Lua, I enjoy duck typing and tables.
Library: LÖve2D, because why not.
Music: I have no idea. Maybe I’ll try to get used to using some sort of tracking software.
Sounds: BFXR.

Bad luck to everyone else because I want to win.
Except not really I couldn’t give less of a crap about winning, I’m just in it because it’s fun.

I’m back again to make another somewhat average game that will keep your socks on*

For those of you who remember me, I made , which for some odd reason never got an actual rating, probably because I rated maybe 10 or so games, which is a little** below average.
I’ll contact Ace and MK to see if they want to jam or not this time around, they probably will.

The tools we will be using:
-Lua as a programming language
-Love2D as a library for Lua
-Geany for coding
-Paint.net for art
-Bfxr for sound
-I’ll use Linux while Ace and MK will probably be using Windows
-Toilet for pooping
-Sink for washing
-This sentence to put MK’s music tool as low on the list as possible
-Famitracker for music
-This sentence to make sure MK doesn’t use the “save the best for last” line(I love you too)

We usually do pretty good, so expect something that will be fun for at least 9 minutes or so.
I just hope the music isn’t as repetative as last time we jammed together, and hopefully I can keep the difficulty curve under control.

Have a great Ludum Dare everybody, I look forward to playing a few games.

*If you are wearing socks, that is
**It’s actually way below average

So uuh

Today I learned that you have to make your game utilities available to the general public, so here it is:JLLE

Nothing special, just a few basic things that I need to make a game.
It requires Love2D, but that’s it. It is somewhat stable, but I reccomend not using it until it’s in a more stable condition.

Attack Force Deca is here!

“Rejoice my people for the hour has come. For you to fight the bosses of your dreams in a highly compressed time periods. I won’t be easy. The graphics alone might make you quit, but I assure you that on this day, VICTORY SHALL BE HAD! THE WORLDS, SHALL BE SAVED!”

In other news you can play it here.

LD28

I’m in again(My titles get less original every LD)

Going to use my standard setup:

GIMP for graphics(May try inkscape)
Sunvox for music
BFXR for sound

If I use Lua:
Geany for coding
Love for engine

If I use C++:
Code::Blocks for coding
SDL or OpenFrameworks for framework

Additional comments:
I hope my game this year doesn’t suck as bad as it did last time I went solo.
I hope I don’t get addicted to a game like Cookie Clicker again this time around.(I will, it’s inevitable.)
I should rate more entries.
I should actually try.
