Tempted by the Slaughter

I’m still learning how to make games & game art but am tempted to submit an entry for the weekend warmup!  Last year my partner & I collaborated on an entry for #indiesvspewdiepie – that’s so far the only Game Jam I’ve participated in 😀

It’s so insipring to see the community of supportive gamers/artists on Ludum Dare & elsewhere in the world.  Looking forward to connecting locally and globally, with similarly inspired devs & artists.

I’m in!  Not sure what angle to take on the “Unconventional Weapon” theme but definitely going to figure it out tonight! ♥ Jenni (aspiring dev / noob)

#LD32

Still not sure my entire angle for the Unconventional Weapon theme for Ludum Dare 32, but working at something & going to see how it all comes together!!  Determined to complete something cute and/or hilarious by the end of the jam!  My partner is helping me with code and may also wind up submitting his own or collaborating more with me as well.  Sprites made in Flash, and using Unity for game play – make my day and stop by the stream ≧◉◡◉≦

Soccer Cow: our #LDJAM Submission

Hi friends!  After an intense game jam weekend packed with excitement, we were able to submit Soccer Cows just in time!

MartianGames did all the programming and we collaborated with my 3D-cow-modeling skills to make this Unconventional Weapon-themed experience.  I’m glad we teamed up because he’s teaching me to code & I’m still a novice :-) but I’m loving the opportunity to expand my skills and learn from an experienced developer.  The community has been really fun to meet & explore and I’ve appreciated the creative encouragement!  Looking forward to future jams & getting better all the time.

Our LDJAM38 Submission

Hi there friends. We completed our submission for LDJAM #38! I helped make the slug and some other components, while Martian did all the programming and learning how to use CUDA in Unity. It was a wonderfully fun & engaging experience as always.. This was our 3rd LudumDare game jam together. Streaming part of the dev process on Twitch was a blast, as was socializing with other developers. Thanks for being a part of the experience!

The name of our game jam submission was going to be “Slime World” but we changed it at the last minute to “Clean Up in Aisle 3”. Lol..

You can play it for Free ▶️ "Cleanup on Aisle 3" on GameJolt

▶️ The official LDJAM submission page

Here’s a little preview of the 3d slug character I made, on ▶️ Sketchfab where I host a handful of my other 3d models on turntable display. Some are just geometric shapes, but all of them were made while learning 3ds Max & Unity.

I’ll be excited to create something I’m really proud of one day, but for now, I’m enjoying 3d-modeling, researching and honing my skills while spending time with my partner who’s been mentoring me over the years.

Birthday Weekend GameJam \ (•◡•) /

I've contributed to a handful of jams before with my Unity mentor MartianGames. This last Halloween 2017, I released my 1st WebGL mini-game "Blue Balls" & I think I finally know enough C# to complete something amusing even if my partner is too busy to help much due to a current deadline coming up!

...So... I'm In!

I love streaming the dev process, playing other submissions on my channel Twitch.tv/JenniNexus, and connecting with the dev community, so stay in touch if you'd like. :-) I'll be sure to make time & feature a handful of LD games during judgement week. Looking forward to it!

LD #44 !

We're stoked to be participating in another Ludum Dare game jam.. My partner is on programming, I'm in charge of setting up the stream, setting up assets in Unity & currently working on Title scene. We've already had a couple of other contributors from our chat so far, therefore this will be the 1st LD we've done with other teammates (and completed lol).

I love playing submissions after the jam during voting.. I'll be sure to do 2-3 sessions playing through other's LD #44 games! <3
