Count me in!

Hello guys,
this is my second Ludum Dare, and I am already hyped. Last time I wasn’t able to finish my game, but I got a Cool Random Weapon Generation System (CRWGS™) working.
I will try to finish my game this time, but it won’t be as big as a project last time, as I have to learn for my theoretical driving test that I will have next week, and most of my time will be dedicated to learning for the test.

However, I will use my spare time for some fun programming and designing my game.
I still have to decide whether my game will be 2D or 3D, depending on the theme. If it will be 2D I will use Java with Slick2D, and Unity for 3D.

Thanks for reading,
good luck for you all!

No Man’s Sea

So I started a LITTLE BIT late … But nevermind 😀
I wanted to make a homage to No Man’s Sky, so I present to you … No Man’s Sea!
It will be a game set in around the 14. Century, where you search for the treasures of long gone civilizations.
Those treasures can be found in the forgotten temples made by them, full of treasure and puzzles.
You can sail around in a huge generated world and find these generated temples, and othere challanges, figths or trading citys.

Early Version
Gify Link

(The game migth not include all features listed above in the final version, this is still a homage to No Man’s Sky, there is no other way.)

No Man’s Psy (No Man’s Sky + No Man’s Lie)

No Man’s Sea Part II

So, I worked some more on my No Man’s Sky homage. I was able to implement a lot of new basic mechanics, but there i have nearly none gameplay implemented yet, and a lot of the important mechanics are missing as of now. (I want to implement randomly generated worlds, trading and ingame currency, temples with treasure and puzzles and ship figths)
So because of the state the game is in rigth now, I don’t want to submit it this time, I’m sorry. But I will keep on working on the game and implement the said features. (I should start earlier next time)

However you can look at the features I have implemented yet. I have a mechanic to enter forests, buildings, citys or caves, a simple but powerfull mapeditor for debuging and testing. Also I added a health bar, and some more tiles (gameplay and decoration). Take a look! 😀

(Guys remember, moving the release date and missing features are needed if you do a homage to No Man’s Sky ;D)

Count me in!

I am really hyped for this time! Hopefully I will be able to actually submit anything this time. I won't stay up all night to check out the theme, but I will start tomorrow! I plan on using Java and Slick2D.

Good luck to all of you, have fun!
