My first Ludum Dare
Hope I can make something that runs.

I'm making a game called RNG. The setting is a classical RPG. But instead of the player, you play as a random number generator in the game and decide what random encounter the player has. You can choose from different type of monsters, a village and different types of item in treasure chest. You only have very limited options and your goal is to make the (AI) player beat the game before he realizes how repetitive the RPG world is. The player will leave the game either when he's bored by the repetitive pattern of the game or he finds the game is too hard or too easy.
Currently I've finished the first prototype. The next steps are making better-looking assets and adjusting to have a proper difficulty.

I'm very glad that this game idea can be implemented with 48 hours.
I enjoyed my first Ludum Dare.

Basic implementation done. Now it's time to polish it.
Making a weight losing game in 48 hours is so stressful that I couldn't help eating a bunch of junk food and gaining weight :(

First step is to generate some random stories...

I am making progress. I got the mechanism implemented. But will I have time to fill in level content in just one afternoon?

Don't collapse, stay nice, survive all these meetings with a stable personality.

Check it out if you're an introvert or having zoom fatigue during pandemic era remote working.
