Awesome, another Dutchie here. Where are you from?

It’s alive! (Somewhat)

Play windows

We got a long way, but work/school/other things got in the way a bit. However we will submit what we have made as a tech demo. Basic movement and environment are in the game. The game was going to be story based, but we didn’t have time to actually make the level and implement the story progression (even though it wasn’t that complex).

It was fun though!

Tools used:

  • C++
  • Clanlib
  • Boost serialization
  • Visual studio 2010 express
  • Photoshop
  • GIMP (Photoshop can’t export transparent png’s somehow)
  • Pen and paper

In PhotoShop… go to FILE>SAVE FOR WEB AND DEVICES> PNG 24 > Then choose transparency.

That is what you would expect. But it didn’t work. Anyway, the nice thing about the dare was: work around it, quite a fast way to solve problems :)

I’m in (a bit late)

Hi,

I’m in again. This time I’m going at it alone, but I will still participate in the jam as I do not have all weekend reserved for ludum dare.

Tools:

  • Language: Python
  • Libraries: Pygame
  • Ide: Pycharm

Work in progress – World of bacteria

Don’t have as much time as the last ludum dare, but I’m making progress. The goal of the game is to make sure your colony of bacteria survives by giving them genetic mutations.
