So it's been a while since I joined a Ludum Dare and I'm super hyped for this one. I had a late start at about 11am UK time but I've got everything ready and I've already made a started on my idea.

Got the first enemies into the game, with a basic pattern, going to look into sine and cosine waves as well as some static features as well as patterned bullet spreads, also the character is currently invincible.

Really having a lot of fun with this one, it's a blast (literally!)

I think I can finally call it a "game" now, still a lot to do but with only 4 hours left I'm focussing on making it a playable experience, not a complete one.

Added in the third and final enemy type that'll occur in the Jam version of the game, only thing to work on now is a scoring mechanic, but it already feels like a game to me and I am unbelievably happy with myself.

I am so happy with everything I accomplished this weekend, I'm looking forward to rating all your games too! But first, a bit of downtime I think.
