Tried to compete in the jam for LD35 but never even got far enough to submit anything.

I’m sure I’ll be biting off more than I can chew, but I am entering the compo this time. Will be doing everything from scratch in Javascript.

Graphics will be done in Paint.NET. Sounds and music (if I even get to that point) will probably be nothing more than me making noises with my voice and recording it on my phone or some ancient microphone I got with my first Soundblaster card.

Woke up at 3 AM to see the theme. Not what I hoped for but it got me thinking.

Decided to watch Stargate (1994) for inspiration and decided to just make a blatant rip-off.

Couldn’t submit anything but I do have the basic fundamentals down. Hopefully I can build on the code for next time. Don’t attempt a game with 360 degree aiming if you haven’t done any geometry and trigonometry in 10 years.

Went with a Stargate setting. Here’s a screenshot of Kurt Russel shooting at Ra’s fighter jet thingies.
