Ludum Dare 49

Could be my first ever finished game, gonna try doing this.

(Excuse the essay, I have an accidental essay-writing problem)

Have been working on a prototype of a simple game where you use your character's rotation in a 2D enviorement to get to the end of ten one-screen levels, only the feet of your character can jump, but the character can spin around easily at the edge of platforms, these rotations either help or hinder you, which should fit with the theme of "unstable".

finished the core mechanics and movement, and should be able to finish the levels tomorow (have made two levels so far), if I finish the levels tommorow around the evening I should be able to make some simple graphics and finaly finish a game, let alone publish it aswel. (graphics are currently just boring old placeholder coloured squares)

Halfway done!

Okay, halfway done with the game (5/10 levels).

This is the farthest I've ever gotten on a project, I usualy can't even finish a simple designed level before losing interest.

Even if I don't finish it on time, it'll still be a proud moment for me that I got this far into a project for the first time.

Done with a game!!

I did it! I actualy FINISHED a project! I'm not actualy publishing it yet, I have about 2 hours left so I'll use it for some polishing, the rest I'll use to actualy publishing the game (most likely on newgrounds).

I didn't have time to make any kind of graphics so it's just coloured cubes and circles in a 2D plane, but I'm proud of the fact that I managed to make a 7 level game in a weekend (also had to make the game's scope a bit smaller, 10 levels was apparently too much for me, but I managed to explore most ideas I wanted to explore in that time).

The game isn't anything special, I'm just happy I've finished my first ever project, an actual finished game others could play. Not a good one, or a very polished one, but a working one.
