First Playable Scene

Here’s my idea: You’re a spirit trying to help your people in various villages. But the more villages that count on you, the harder it is to satisfy them. So far I’ve got a sphere that moves around and boosts a number on any “village” it’s near, with constantly declining numbers for each. A central tracker shows the average rating of every village you’re responsible for, currently just the middle one. 20171201shattered_spirit.jpg

Published Draft Game: Shattered Spirit

Terrain, sound, spells, and a Dark Spirit if you get far enough! It's playable and can be fun for a few minutes. I'm not sure where to take it from here. Something about collecting artifacts or new spells?

Massive Unity Build Problems

I updated Unity so I could use some neat little free village models, and now I'm unable to build my game at all. I might, might be on the way to making it buildable again, but it looks like the village models won't be compatible with the new version of Unity even though that's the very reason I'm in this mess! Anyway here's what I'm hoping to upload as a new demo. 171203shatteredemspirit/em2.jpg

Made It!

I got a finished game up! This has been a fun experience. Thanks, everyone, for getting me into Ludum Dare! I see some other fun ideas out there already from the other contestants. From a conversation tonight about my frustrating day:

Me: That does it. I'm gonna add randomly appearing floating artifacts that refill your magic power.

Me: And put some in the game too.

Friend: Yay! 8D

Friend: sees a floating blue orb in his backyard o. .O
