Ludum Dare 52

The Last Minute

Like every team, we were mashing out changes and testing them right up to the deadline. There's a list of things we didn't get a chance to add, and starting 24 hours late didn't help, but I'm incredibly proud of the team and the final product that was created. The physics and controls implemented feel super good and have just enough awkwardness to create a fun mix.

Feedback has been great so far, and there are definitely some balance changes we'd love to implement given the chance. (Damage rate, marking the drop-off zone better, and ramping up the difficulty over time).

Our original vision was to have a day/night cycle where the number of crops harvested would impact how many people at the shelter survived to the next day. In a sense, you were venturing out to support the town taking shelter at your farm from the invasion for as long as you could while the enemies grew in number and got more aggressive.

This was my first jam here at Ludum Dare, and the first time working with these teammates, but I'm already looking forward to the next one! Huge thank you to them and everyone who's given feedback so far!
