Had some fun today :)
Trying to go environmental and political and all by cleaning up the plastic patch of the pacific. Player's gonna fail! ><

Now to figure out how to create polygons for collision detection instead of boxes with Three JS.
Pretty happy with the first days work. Think I'll make a habit of joining this compo. :)

I wanted to make some music as well, but I realised I hadn't reinstalled my sequencing software and drivers on the basement box since last flush. But I found that SFXR software super easy and useful. Thanks a lot, DrPetter!
In any case, the game is now playable and evil vs. the player. Hope you enjoy my entry, and good luck to everyone. :)

We spent two enjoyable week-end days at the office developing this game.
The idea was pretty ambitious. I wish we get to build some more story and polish into this.
Saturday was spent building a fairly comprehensive terminal enigine.
Sunday morning started with introducing 3D on a whim.
ThreeJS is a natural fit since everything else is native JS.
We even managed to squeeze in the other test driven part! \o/
The take away from this week-end is that engines are pretty
quick to throw together, but content and story sure does take a while...
Might go for a puzzler or a platformer instead of an adventure next time. 👼
Feedback is very welcome!

Thanks for a fun week-end!
I made a tool to sort all #ldjam45 entries by the stats, and remember which I've voted on. #ldjam #ludumdare #ludumdare45 Perf is a bit slow, but its 2.5k rows in a browser. 🤣 https://lars-erik.github.io/ldjam-lists/

Hi everyone,
Good luck with the last day of voting! For those who still have time to poke around, I made a tool too help with sorting and keeping track of votes:

I wanted to make it show the content of each game on hover as well, but lack of time prevented me from figuring out why VueJs doesn't update the content when sorted. If anyone are interested, the source code in question is here:

Hope to make this a bit better for LD46.
In any case, if you find it useful, we wouldn't be ungrateful for a few last reviews of our game as well. 👼

I barely made it with garden work, family trip to the woods and other dad work. But super happy that I managed to squeeze in 12-14 hours during the week-end to brush up on my Blender and Unity (non) skills.
The game turned out to be playable, albeit far from what I imagined Saturday morning. 😆 Also hoped to get the team together, but alas I ended up going solo. A bit fun and exciting to enter the compo tho.
Really looking forward to trying out all the other entries.
While doing so I'll use the tool I wrote last time around. It keeps track of the games you've voted for in your local storage. (Per device) You can see all the entries and sort them by all the different metrics. It'll update every hour as long as the event is running and my box is running at home. 😇

With that I wish you all good luck with the votes, and safe times in this crazy world!

Hi all,
Happy voting, and GL to the jammers still going.
I made a tool to help you keep track of the games you've voted on. Checkbox ticks are stored in local storage in your browser.
It's available at https://lars-erik.github.com/ldjam-lists.

I recommend sorting by given, classic or smart to help balance out the voting by voting for active players, and ofc. check out all those with 0 ratings as well.

Hi all, and happy voting!
My voting tool just got a couple of new features:
Exporting and importing works by copying a base 64 encoded version of your votes JSON from the textbox, pasting it on another device/brower and then clicking import. If it's not a proper array of ID/bool pairs serialized as JSON and then base 64 encoded you'll lose your data, so use with caution. 👼
Anyways, keep voting and enjoy the games!

Voting tool now has cover image on link hover. 😁
You can find it at https://lars-erik.github.io/ldjam-lists.
If you wanna thank me, please rate my game. Leave a comment so I can rate you back!
