In his keynote, David S. Gallant said that everybody could participate to Ludum Dare. So I’m in.
As a french student, my english is very bad, I apologize. And as a french procrastinator, I didn’t learn programming.

“But why do you participate to Ludum Dare french procrastinator ?”

Because I know how to use Twine ! Twine is a tool that allows you to create interactive stories. Yes, like Choose Your Own Adventure Book.
So, for my First Ludum Dare, I’ll use :

• Twine
• Word, because most of my game will be text
• Maybe GraphicsGale or Pyxel Edit because Pixel Art is cool
• My Dictionary because my English is very bad

I’m in, I think.

I’ve a big problem with motivation. I started to brainstorm 20 minutes ago. I have three potential ideas now, but I’m stuck. I don’t know which one to choose.

Ludum Dare, you start very well.

In my precedent post, I said that I didn’t know which concept choose between 2. I choose one, work on it during 1 hour, and eventually I decided to stop working on the first concept and started to work on the second one. Yes, I’m undecided.
My game will be a basic interractive fiction, like Choose Your Own Adventure book. The story : a bomb will explose in 10 seconds, choose what to do among a lot of choice ! I think I’ll post a beta test tonight, or tomorrow morning (I’m in France). Here is a screenshot of Twine with some choices, not all !

This post is the begining of my pause. Now, I’ll eat some Youtube videos and take a great and hot shower !

I’m making a Twine game and I’ve a probleme with the print function. I write : Congrats, you’re alive ! <<remember $life = $life+”1″>> You manage to see the end of the game in <<print $life>> try. And when I build the story, I have : Congrats, you’re alive !You manage to see the end of the game in undefined1 try

And I don’t know why there is “undefined”. Please, help me !

Although I posted my game 10 minutes before  the deadline (in fact, 10 minutes before the submission hour which I had no idea that it existed), I found juste 17 hours later the energy and the motivation to write a post to “announce” and present my game.

In Bombed Life, you’re a baseball fan who wanted to pee and when you enter in the toilet, you found a bomb with 10 seconds remaining. A lot of choice appears to you. Try to survive to this nightmare, and preferably, save thousand of supporters in the same time.

I just played my game and I found a lot of mistakes. Am I allow to make a V.1.1 without mistakes and adding change some little details of the game and post it in order to replace the first version ? I ask because it would be considered as cheat, I thought.

While I helped my brother to translate in french (he is very useless in english), it allowed me to reread what I wrote. And I didn’t count how many grammatical errors there were…

So, I decided to roll up my sleeves up and hunt them ! And after 2 hours, version 1.1 is born ! I also rephrase 2 or 3 sentence and add a “Majin Booan” gif ! Also, Hamumu, a Ludum Dare moderator, have a sex affair… 😡
