LD 42

First Gamejam SUCCESS

We did it !

With two friends of mine, we managed to finish a game which is the first one any of us has ever created. And in time ! (yet I have to admit the submission day was a boon for a last glitch hunt so as to catch'em all)

Anyways, if you want to see some newbies' attempt at creating a game for that 42nd session of Ludum Dare, search no more, beacause RAMbot is waiting for you !

(seriously, there's a cute little robot that solves puzzle. How could you say no to that face ?)

Any rhythm game in this jam ?

I really like rhythm / audio based games, and I'd like to try some, but couldn't find any in this jam.

So if any of you find or made such a game, feel free to comment ^^

Gimme da two player games

I have the chance to be with my sister, so I'd like to play with her some muliplayer games, as they may be harder for others to play... And can be super fun !

If you made or encountered such a game in a playrathon of yours, feel free to comment ^^

Btw, we have two controllers if needs be.

Are those bug fixes allowed ?

I know it is quite late at this point to fix the ludum dare version of a game, but I'd still like to do it for the time remaining. However, I don't know if I'm allowed to modify the ludum dare build, or if I should make a proper post-jam version including this changes :

-I'd like to change collisions on the main character, who often hits narrow walls. (it can be quite a hassle)

-I found a completely unintended way to solve a puzzle due to bad sprite origin, which makes this solution completely unfair as it can't be foreseen.

What do you think ? (the game is still playable in this state though)

One evening to play them all...

I have only tonight left to play a bunch of ld games, so you know how it works ;)

Give me some games to test ! (I'll rate them for sure, and maybe comment)

and check mine if you want to...

It's over 9000

Well maybe not... At least it is over 2000. 2000 rankable people at the end of the journey. Almost two thirds. And an all time record according to ld stats.

This is the first jam I created a game for, and it was a blast. It is so nice to be able to get ratings and quality feedback. So thanks to everyone who created games, and rated some others. You made so much people happy by leaving comments, you helped many improve and you gave countless jammers the motivation to keep creating. But most of all, you made us laugh, cry, and have fun playing your games.

I'm really looking forward to my next jam, and I hope it will be just as good !

Until then... how high can we get in the span of the last 2 hours ?

The following graph shows the amount of ratings received per game, and it can be found there
