Our current game in development promises to deliver an exciting and immersive experience to gamers of all levels. We started by jotting down some basic ideas on a whiteboard, which we then expanded upon during the brainstorming phase.

One of the biggest challenges we faced while creating this game has been striking the perfect balance between difficulty and accessibility. We wanted the game to be challenging enough to keep players engaged, but not so hard that they would become frustrated and give up.
Another crucial aspect of the game has been developing a compelling storyline that players would be eager to follow. We have crafted a detailed and intricate world filled with fascinating characters and lore. The story is intricately woven into the gameplay, providing players with a sense of purpose and direction as they explore the game world.

As we continue to work on the game, we are constantly refining and iterating the different elements to create the best possible gaming experience.

Kia ora/Hello from New Zealand!
We made our game, Deck Derby: Sluglord's Speedway. You're Rustle, a beetle on the run from the Sluglord Mafia, led by the ruthless Don Sluggotti, a crime boss who owns the biggest casino in the bug underworld. After falling into heavy debt, Rustle’s only way out is to race on the infamous speedway. The deal is simple: win, and your debt is cleared. Lose, and you’ll be trapped in the slimy grip of Don Slugotti for years to come.
With our producer being in Europe and the rest of the team in New Zealand, we were super fortunate this jam to have everyone under the one roof (with the exception of our musical genius, who is based in Sweden).
Wellington, New Zealand on a wonderful spring day. We made the most of the theme drop (which was at 10am for us here in NZ) and brainstormed outside.

I am not a coder or a designer, but I did help craft the story of the game, I am also credited as Head Chef, making sure our awesome team were kept fed.
Our end result, our game! We'd love for you to play it, give us a rating, and tell us what you think. I would also love to play some of your games. So feel free to let me know how you did your jam, and your end result
