I finally completed a Ludum Dare game! A Visual Novel about small birds~

Hi everyone! I'm excited to finally have something to show for my first full Ludum Dare experience ever. I've always been interested in the past but never able to follow through, which is discouraging but NOW I'VE DONE IT!! I have a game that starts and (has multiple) ends!

I wrote and programmed in Ren'Py, while @colm-eccles did the beautiful artwork.

This is a game about feeling trapped in a tiny nest with a family that doesn't want you. What you do, whether you cooperate or fight back, and who you side with is up to you!

Multiple branching, multiple endings (5 of them), and all that jazz.

I definitely had to rush to complete near the end, so I apologize for the rough patches especially near the end. I'll still be doing a lot of polishing, but will be keeping version 1.0 up as well.

Thank you for stopping by!

Play as a baby bird in our first-ever Ludum Dare! Thanks for all the support~

Edit: I really underestimated this community! We got enough votes not even an hour after I originally posted this. Thank you everyone, so much, for reviewing and rating our game. We're going through them now, and I promise everyone who's commented will have their games reviewed by us today. Cheers and happy gaming!

Hi everyone,

This is @colm-eccles and my first Ludum Dare. We've always been interested, but never really got anything completed... until now! Enjoy our first Visual Novel game with 5 different endings.

We're reaching out here because we just need a few more votes to be eligible for a score! If you play, vote, and comment on our game, I'll play yours in return :)

I tried to get a gif working, but it turned out laggy and choppy. So I hope you enjoy this short, 30-second long demo video.

We're Back! And with a Card Game-based Visual Novel!

Hi everyone! @colm-eccles and I are back for Ludum Dare 41.

Our two genres are... Card Games and Dating Sim/Visual Novel!

The time crunch will be pretty intense as I work through card game logic in Ren'Py. Hoping to have something polished for you guys! Brace yourself for a really, really weird slice-of-life story!

Need just a few more votes :)

Hi everyone! I've been busy with moving across the country, so I'm not able to keep up with play/rate as much... But if anybody's interested, please rate our Card Game/Visual Novel. Thank you!

LD42 - Let's keep it simple!

Hi all! My partner @colm-eccles and I are planning on participating this weekend! Since it's a busy weekend for us, my plan is to keep it simple! We're currently looking at the Bitsy editor by Adam LeDoux (who we met in NYC yesterday, cool dude!)

Good luck all~!

"Just Talk to People" - a Bitsy Narrative

Hi all,

This Ludum Dare, my partner and I chose to keep it simple as we wanted to explore dealing with limitations and constraints (and... we had a really busy weekend).

So we decided to try out the engine Bitsy! We found it to be perfect for our needs - a short, simple, narrative experience.

If you've got a couple minutes to spare, please try out our game and give us a rating. Thank you.

Planning on making another Ren'Py visual novel! I enjoy writing and being able to get games out of it quickly. Hopefully joined by my favorite artist Colm~
