Loving all the feedback

It's great to have such positive reactions to Goal Defense (and I know my game is simple but impossible and annoying to play). I'm working on an improved and "easier" version for the app store. But in the meantime, please keep posting your feedback. :D and post your html games so I can review them! (I have a mac with poor 3d capabilities, so I can't play windows games, or mac games that needs to be installed).

Last few hours for ratings!

Check out my game if you haven't, or play it again...

Leave me a comment so I can play yours (ideally HTML games since I have a Mac)

Not bad for my first LD jam, and for a game that I completed quickly in 2 hours. (I had paid work to do) :P

I got a lot of great feedback from the users, so I'm satisfied, and looking forward to finish the new version.

I saw a couple of users that got 1st position overall, it gave me a lot of light on the quality of the games. Also I noticed that many submissions were for Windows users, so I couldn't test them. :(

The theme, a bit of inspiration.

I read a self-help book meant for twentysomethings. Someone wanted my opinion on it, and the book was about that the 30's are not the new 20's as so many people preach to justify their lazyness on their twenties to start off their lives and secure their future.

Your life is limited and has very short blocks and stages where you can do certain things to live better:

0-10 years you understand how to navigate the world and interact with it. 11-20 you study to become productive in the world, learn complex skills like math, language, etc. 21-30 you perfect your studies, start working, find a romantic match to keep going on life and have babies. 31-40 Your career grows, your kids grow too and you're settled finally. 41-50 life becomes more quiet, and you take your career to a higher level, your kids leave home and start their own life. 51-60 if you're lucky you get grandsons, prepare for retirement or take your career to a higher level. 61-70 you retire, you have more time for hobbies, family and guide your extended family for the future, start enjoying the fruits of your investments in the past. People you knew starts to die of old age or diseases. 71-80 If you have a good health you keep enjoying life as it is, a bit tired and reflecting on your past, maybe preparing something for the future generations. 81-90+ you have survived beyond average life expectations (75 years). Whatever you do depends on your health and your will. Death - Still unavoidable, and eventually you will be forgotten if you don't do something big for the world. The memory of you will stay with your family, but only a couple of generations. (I'm not trying to be a downer, I'm just telling as it is).

Living a good life is up to you, and if you make good decisions, you'll have a decent, balanced and happy life. But if you go the other way, or are affected by diseases or environmental hazards it could end sooner. If you become an exceptional individual, you'll make a dent on history and benefit or affect others.

Your time is the currency, since it's scarce. Take that as a clue to build the spine of your game. (or quit and go do something more productive).

Another clue for a game could be that with religion factored in, you could trade years of your life by asking favors to the devil or god.

What are you willing to sacrifice to achieve something big or have a good ending of your life?

Thoughts?
