LD 42

Hiya! This is my very first jam!

So yeah, i'm pretty scared. Name's Max ( shorter version of username)/Alejandro(IRL), i'm a 3D artist student and I wanted to give a shot to Ludum Dare with it's #42 edition. I was encouraged to participate thanks to a classmate who showed me his game for another jam, ended up investigating and this one seemed to be a huge one and I decided to join in. I'm mostly scared because of my lack of programming, on the art side, I think i'm pretty much covered and at least will be able to do a pretty game if I want to. I can put things together but i'm not sure if i'll be able to pull of what I want to do in terms of gameplay for jam, so I'll try to make it my first objective, get the gameplay up and running ASAP once I have the concept down. Any tips from programers who can help me out?

Good luck everyone and greetings!

Yass! One of my fave themes got picked! Here's my game idea!

Hiya everyone! I'm writing this while creating my project. Before the Jam started, I had already kind of gotten ideas for the several themes that were in the final voting, and the one that was chosen is one of my favourite ideas. So, the idea I had for "Running out of space" was Data themed, concretly how a virus or the user decides to do a scheduled deletion of the system and you play as a file who wants to escape from the deletion by traveling to several points from the computer until reaching a safe spot. I'm gonna be taking some visual inspiration from some games I like, such as Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded, Sly Cooper (the Bentley hacking segments). Probably my biggest challenge will be how to generate the labyrinths and I will need to do some extra research while I'm at it.

Now i'll be heading to sleep (I'm in Spain and it's midnight here) and early in the morning i'll get setup! Good luck everyone and remember to have fun!
