Figuring out a start with some shaders

We spent last night brainstorming, and today we started to work on gameplay and some shaders!

We tweaked the ship's movement and animation, and figured out how to shader in the center from "swallowing" the ship, as well as improving its look.
We've made a new model for our spaceship. Check it out!

We've been hard at work!
We implemented the new ship model and tweaked the effects of the shader. Not only that, we added some really neat particle effects.
Most importantly, we finally have asteroids and other obstacles to dodge! They don't... Actually do anything to you yet, but we're getting there!

Hey everyone! We implemented hit points and a way to actually lose, and we fine tweaked the colliders. We also implemented a very simple score counter. We're still missing some important details, like pick-ups and feedback when your ship gets hit, increasing difficulty as you go, and we're also planning to work more on gamefeel.
More importantly, we uploaded an early playable build! Come check it out, and see how far you can get!
Note: There seems to be a heavy visual bug on some computers when using Chrome. We don't know why it happens, and it doesn't always happen either, so if you load the game and it's all glitchy, try playing it in another browser.

Brainstorming session going well.
Working on the map of the ship.
The 3D artists are hard at work too!

It looks great.
What the game designers draw:
What the 3D artists make:
The round symbols with the hammer show the parts of the ship that need repairing, and the cannon and ship's wheel icons will have a differently colored arrow when they're not in need in repair, since the player also needs to use them.
The oval "dialogue bubbles" will show the stats of the different pirates.
