LD 38

Im in!

My first LD ever. Woo! It's gonna be a great weekend guys!

Last Minute Ratings Begging

I'm still short a few ratings, and my guess is a lot of you are in the same boat. If you'd care to check out my entry, titled "Asteroid Field", and wouldn't mind leaving a rating and any feedback you'd like, that would be much appreciated! While you're there, drop me a comment and I'll make sure to do the same for you tonight!

Play Asteroid Field

Asteroid Field is my first ever completed game, so that's pretty exciting! It's an HTML5 (play it in your browser, no download necessary!) game built on the Phaser game engine. It's a simple defense game where you fire rockets from a small planet orbiting a star as asteroids enclose from all directions. Prevent any asteroid from colliding with this fragile planet or it's game over. Each asteroid you destroy earns you points, and in addition to your score, there is a clock so you can keep track of how long you've managed to survive.

A huge thanks to anybody who takes the time to try it out, and of course to those that already have!

These are exciting times. Let's do this!

LD 41

Back Again

I'm excited to be participating in LD41, my fourth jam! I'm going to once again be using my custom C++ engine built on top of SFML. Here's to having fun and finishing on time. Good luck everybody!

Genre Matrix

For anybody still working on their interpretation of the theme, I've spent way too much time making a spreadsheet combining an (incomplete I'm sure) list of game genres and then rating them based on how well they fit the theme (subjectively, you're free to make your own with your own opinions). If you want to use it or copy it for your own brainstorming, here it is: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1enpKy0W-tg2E0qfAFEgJiEbspktFyc9wtLarmGe-WpQ/edit?usp=sharing
