I'm so nervous! My first time in a Game Jam and in a very special one!
I just wanted to share my nerves, this is the first time I participate in a Game Jam. And not in any Game Jam, in the 50th edition and 20th anniversary of Ludum Dare!

I am very happy to have participated for the first time in a Game Jam and in the best possible place: Ludum Dare (Compo)! The experience has been amazing, I'm looking forward to the next one! Thank you very much to all!

Thanks to physics we know that the faster you move, the more the time dilates (the lesser the space) with respect to the observer.

This game has three levels of difficulty:
Try to win all the difficulties in the shortest times possible!

People have asked me if it is possible to save your loved one, of course it is! And with ten coins!
Here is my record, I'd like someone to beat me!

One of the greatest honors I've been able to receive as a video game creator is being beaten at my own game.
And my friend has achieved it!

If you dare to beat my friend (10 coins at 25.460 seconds) and want to share it in a video I will be happy to receive that honor too!

I knew Ludum Dare for years and years and this is the first one I actively participate. I've to say that I love the community and meet both new and legend developers.
However, there're games that for me are hidden gems and I'd like to have a favorites section so I can see, play and enjoy them.
It's a wish, I understand that carrying LD and add a new feature is complicated. Just to thank all the participants and all those who make this possible!
I was finally able to beat my friend who had the record in my game, now I have the record! 10 coins at 26.360!

Have you still not managed to see your beloved one with ten coins in Dilate the Time!? Try it!

I used to make Flash games a long time ago. Due to its deprecation, I promised myself only use free and open source tools to make games.
I loved Aseprite, distributed under the GNU GPL v2, but was moved to a proprietary license.
So I moved to LibreSprite, a fork of Aseprite. As they say on their website, LibreSprite is a free and open source program for creating and animating your sprites.
Try it!

I want to change the resolution of the game (256x144) and prepare for 1080p screens for exact rescaling. That means I have to expand the levels a bit and I don't know whether to leave them as they are or modify them a bit.
I also want to make clear at the beginning what some players didn't realize. Not only time dilates: also space and music too.
Also I also want to change the control of the character, but I'm afraid, because that would also influence the design of the levels.
Why all these? Because I want to improve in video game development.
If you want to contribute with an idea or something to comment, it will be welcome!
Thanks for reading me!

I have to admit that this topic caught me off guard. I think I already have the idea for the ten seconds but I want it to be fun and challenging, let's continue!

I already have my template, now comes the difficult part: create the levels and start polishing.
This time I want to improve the art: both the graphics and the music. In the previous edition it was very poor!

I love the mechanics and level design but I fail planning for art. How much time do you spend on graphics and music?
Argh!! 6 hours!!

I would have liked to put animations on it but I've gotten into the mechanics and level design, I can't wait for you to try it!
In a few days the new edition of Ludum Dare will arrive, exactly the 52nd.
With the appearance of new ways of generating code such as ChatGPT or art with Midjourney, Dall-E, etc. Will there be some indications about this in the new edition in the COMPO format?
I just don't know if I can use ChatGPT or other AI generators to focus more on game design. Or, instead, I have to use more creativity.
Thanks to Ludum Dare for this magnificent Game Jam and its organization!

You are Tesor, the collector of souls of the Sorio tribe. Escape from the dungeon where you are a prisoner and collect the 40 souls from enemies and bosses!

This time I wanted to do something other than platforms, I'd have loved to put more powerups, shoots, and enemies but I've spent more time designing the level, I think that in 48 hours it hasn't been bad!

If you feel like chilling out enjoying an exploration roguelike and spending 10-15 minutes of gameplay, try Soullector!
