I’m in!

3rd year CS student in Glasgow, Scotland.

Once made a game about a panda trying to kill medusa, but it wasn’t very good.

Been coding a game in Python for a team project in university this year, so going back to Java will be a relief.

I’m not promising anything great, but it should at least be weird.

Language: Java

IDE: Eclipse

Libraries: Slick2D (probably)

Content Generation: Pixelmator + graphics tablet

7AM, Day 1.

Well I’ve started.

I’ve wrote out a basic story for…questy puzzley type manic mansion type deal.

It’s about a guy who gets a text about some leaked celebrity pictures and has to get everyone at his party to leave so he can….look at the pictures in peace.

(There’ll also be an option to have that part be tame and have him just want to go to bed.)

so far I have some basic art and collision detection.

lol?!

that’s quite an original idea ya got there.

I’m in………ish.

I have exams on the 26th, 27th and the 28th so I really shouldn’t dedicate the whole weekend to something proper :(.

I might make something retro ASCII-style in Python using the curses library though…

I really wanted to take part in this one fully as well, dangit.

Holy Heck, I did alright.

My game got into the top 20 for both Innovation and Humour (#19 and #17 respectfully)!

That’s just really weird.

My coolness was very poor as I had my finals immediately after the compo through to a couple of days before the end of the judging period.

Anyway, I’ve since learnt HTML5 canvas +  Javascripty type stuff so expect my next game to be much more accessible.

Congratulations… :) I played your game and thought it was a new and interesting concept, well done!

I’m in! (Fully in this time)

Hey, last time was just before exams so I couldn’t put too much time towards the compo.

This time however I’m an unemployed bum! So that’s good!

Code: Javascript, written against the latest “normal” chrome build in the hopes that it works ok for the most number of people.

Graphics: I have no idea, probably Pixelmator and whatever that Adobe Air Pixel/SpriteSheet Editor was (anyone know it’s name?)

Sounds: I’m tempted to do it all vocally, but we’ll see.

Anyway, I have absolutely no idea what I’ll do so this is very exciting for my 3rd time round.

Progress Report

I added particles!

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1482003/DigJesusDigSunMorn/DigJesusDig.html game’s still butt ugly and has no actual gameplay yet though…

Anyway, you play as Jesus digging holes for the dinosaur sekellingtons God throws  down to trick the non-believers.

Its sort of a mix of Terraria and The Incident.

Anyway, here’s a link of a a current build:

I’m all in!

This’ll be my fourth Ludum Dare, I’m really looking forward to it. It’s the first one I’ve not had any other commitments that have eaten into my time so it should be good.

Language: Javascript, maybe a little server-side in Python (if it fits, nothing ‘multiplayer’ though)

Graphics: Pixelmator, probably.

Audio: Considering 100% vocalisation, if it fits and doesn’t sound terrible…
