Ludum Dare 54

Well Rested After My First Stressful Game Jam

My first Ludum Dare and Game Jam is complete! It was a crazy experience to say the least, but I'm super happy with the final result! Like everyone, there are plenty of small fixes I would've love to have made, but for my first Jam, I'm super proud of myself!

Now that I've got some much needed sleep, I'm keen to see what awesome games everyone else has made during the Jam!

And if you want to try my game Mini Architect, you can check it out here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/54/mini-architect

I Made A Devlog For Ludum Dare 54

This Game Jam was so much fun that I didn't want it to stop! Being my first Game Jam, it's been such an incredible experience playing everyone's games and seeing what amazing things devs can make in such a short time span. I've always been curious what it's like for others when completing their Game Jams, so I thought I'd make a short little video from my POV while making my game Mini Architect. Check it out!

Am I allowed to change this part of my game?

So for my game, you draw up house plans to meet a specific set of conditions that are randomly generated. However, due to a bug or two, it can generate impossible requests (such as requesting a room that is 6 tiles big, but only having a plan that can hold 5 tiles). Am I allowed to go in and fix this, because it's an unintended error that affects players' experience? I just wanted to check, so that I don't break any of the rules. Thanks everyone!

Ludum Dare 54 Results Devlog!

For my first game jam, this has been a lot of fun and a great learning experience! Seeing all the incredible games people made in such a short time has been amazing, and has given me so much inspiration for some other ideas of mine. I've made a second devlog on my game, going over how well I did in the jam, as well as some updates and lessons for next time! A big thanks to everyone who played the game, voted, and left some awesome feedback - you're all amazing!
