I Still Can’t Believe I Did It

I’m still recovering from the sleepless nights spent developing this game. This was only my second time taking part in an event like this, and I’m definitely not someone who stands out because of extraordinary skills. But for me, this game jam was something truly special.

Ever since I was a kid, I dreamed of making games and building worlds. I’ve been working in gamedev for two years now, and for the first time, I finally became the creator of a world of my own.

At this jam, I worked as a level designer and a bit of a level artist as well. I also got the chance to work on lighting and even create a system for its optimization. It was an AMAZING experience. You sit there in Unreal Engine, staring at an empty space on the screen — and then, step by step, that emptiness turns into a location prototype, a level design, lighting, and sound. And just a few hours later, you’re already running through a place that you imagined and built yourself. I honestly don’t have enough words to describe how excited and happy that made me feel.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to the organizers and to my team (@cptdrusha, @dejavu, @ochpochpunk, @motooch, @xp-3d, @fallenqwe) — without them, I would never have had such an incredible experience.
I also want to say how much I admire every participant. You are amazing. Please keep creating and bringing joy to people through your projects.
Be sure to try our game and leave your comments. Every single comment makes me happy!
