The Baconizers

Our first game jam is going pretty well.

You are Jack Lumber the lumberjack who just wants to get home after a long day of work, but wild rivers, nasty critters and cruel traps block your way! How is poor Jack ever going to get home?

Don’t have anything playable yet unfortunately, but got lots of individual working pieces that still need to be put together.

After the Pit

Well, this was the first time I entered the 48 hour compo by myself, which was a little scary, since I am not that much of a programmer, and I joined the jam only once before. But all went fine, and I even finished a few hours before the deadline! If I had to rate my own game, it would be something like this:

Gameplay: 2/5
Art: 3/5
Music: 4/5
Theme: 2/5

Which isn’t that much of a score, but that’s fine. I am still very proud of myself for making it in such a short time. It was my first 48 hour compo after all. I had a lot of fun making it, so I don’t really care much for the rating.

Removed my entry

Hey all!

Due to some build difficulties I had to withdraw my entry ‘Bricked’.  The game had some game-breaking bugs that only occured on build, so I only noticed it just now. So I ask you all to not vote on my entry.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

If they only occur in build, I’m sure it’s fine to just update your builds.

It was also my understanding that if some game breaking bug slipped into your final build, you could fix it. I’m sure it’s fine to fix the bug and re-post your entry.

Just confirming you’re allowed to fix game-breakers and “typos” (general “if I was less tired I’d catch that” slip ups). It’s a real bother when glitches ruin a game you’ve worked so hard on… but at the very least, it’s a good learning experience you can take away :)
