Ludum Dare 46

I am in

Hi everyone!

This is going to be not exactly my first jam, but first LDJAM, though. I always wanted to give it a try but every time I got distracted by something instead.

I'm a hobbyist game developer. Sadly, I dedicate not so much time to this hobby, so I don't expect a stellar result :) But I'll do my best.

For this project I'm going to use Unity. I was thinking about trying something else (Godot for instance) but it feels like it's too late to change horses.

Stay safe. Have a fun jam!

Day 1 of #LDJAM is done!

It wasn't as productive as I expected, but on the other hand, I am not burned out either. In times like these, it is important to stay mindful and chill 馃

My game is about safely rolling an egg to the nest, btw馃馃悾 It is a simple physics game. Tomorrow I'm going to wrap it up: add some nice visuals, maybe some sounds, and build several small levels IMGem20200418/em230959.jpg

Game title: Breaking Egg

The main game logic is ready. The assets too. It's time to make some levels

I'm gonna call it a day

Use "right" and "left" arrow to control the egg

You can play the demo here https://mulberg.itch.io/ldjam46 I'll probably add some additional levels tomorrow

Your feedback is welcome!

Although the game is kinda simplistic, it turned out that dealing with physics is not as easy as I expected.

I wouldn't say that I'm completely satisfied with the result. The whole concept and the mechanics feel very raw to me. But maybe this idea might become a foundation for a mobile game.

What do you think?

If that was a mobile game, what would you like to see in a game like this?

Thanks! And have a great week! =)
