For music, I would recommend trying LMMS (Linux Multi Media studio (works on windows)). It works great. Also, you might want to go get chronolapse so you can record a timelapse. Make sure to check out the tools page.

Minimalist Game Boy Retro

Four colors of power, all in a minimalist dungeon.

Captura

Finish LD26 MineCrawl

The version 1.0 of MineCrawl is done…

For now, I’ve only done four levels… I need more inspiration.

Game: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1186255/Minicrawler/MiniCrawler.jar

Code: https://github.com/abraracurcix/MiniCrawler

Later i’ll make more levels… I hope.

PS: Require Java 7

Finally… It’s Complete

7 levels… not a lot, but I’m a bad level designer.

A old picture but it’s ok:

Here the download source and jar executable (require Java 7):

Code: https://github.com/abraracurcix/MiniCrawler

And… finally… the chronolapse:

Good luck for everyone and i want play all!

Dammit…

I forgot upload yesterday… The game is now up for the jam and not for the compo.

Shame… :(

If you followed the compo rules (like, finished before the deadline) then just send them an email etc and they’ll probably add it in – they’re pretty flexible and decent chaps!

I’m in, second Ludum Dare

Second try!.  I improved my skills and I’m prepared.

  • Language: Java (Libgdx)
  • IDE: Eclipse
  • Art: Graphic Gale
  • Sound: I don’t know yet… and SFXR

My body is ready.

Finally in… but not alone.

Yeah… I’m in again in my second Ludum Dare, but my brother “TaxisDude” is gonna help me with his pixelart skills.

Taxisdude pixeljoint web: http://www.pixeljoint.com/p/29147.htm

PS: That’s bad, i’m trying to improve my english but i think i’m worst than the previous Ludum Dare. If we do a Adventure Game could be hilarious.

Altough I’m not a native english speaker, I had no problem understanding your post.

Good morning! (in Spain we are now at 11 am).

Finally, my brother will help me with the graphics, so we are now in the #LD72 hours contest!

You can see me coding here (twitch). And I will be updating the blog with screenshots and the graphics as soon we have something.

I think that we have a funny idea for the game, I only hope that we can finish it properly!

Goodluck to all!

Time to sleep.

A great day, i think we completed the 30-40%. Our idea is develop a game based in the idea of Whodunit… A Mansion, a random killer, and one of the people that stay there die every 10 second.

You must find clues, you must speech with the people and find&catch the murderer before he could kill you .

Whodunit?

Yeah, i know, the map is sooooo ugly, but we’ll do it tomorrow (Spain is midnight now).

Only 9 hours left…

WAAAAAAAAA!!!

Yesterday was a horrible day. A lots of bugs, a lot of drawings, a lot of work… But now the gameplay is finished and we are polishing the Menu, the mansion and the end game screen. I hope we could have time to do a good work with the audio.

whodunit

I’m very proud of the results. :)

It looks nice! Better than my game. :)

Whodunit finished!!!

Finally we finished the game… we’re exhausted now but very happy for the results. The bugs flood the last hours and the last screens were so heavy to do… but now we developed our first adventure game. :D

I think that the game is a little hard, impossible to win your first try but I know that with perseverance you’ll get an high score. :)

I hope you  you enjoy it.

Tomorrow i’ll try to do the post-mortem.

Whodunit NOW IN YOUR WEB BROWSER

Yeah! Before I go to work… Here is the link for the web browser version for you all.

The instructions say that left-alt is a necessary key, but Firefox intercepts that key for its menu, so it doesn’t seem to be winnable in web form on Firefox.

We’re IN

We’re in again, but not with a 2D game… we hope develop a 3D game using Unity (i know, a lot of people use Unity… i know…).

But if the theme inspired us with a great 2D idea… well… i can’t promise anything.

First Update

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaah… we didn’t have any idea about what to do. But finally the inspiration came to us.

We’re making a game about a man with only got an axe…

unnamed
Concept art

Ingame
Debug mode…

Progress Day 1

We finished the player animations, a lot of objects and 30-40% of the logic.

Tomorrow is going to be a very long day: Peasants, a Drakkar, map generator, lifebars…

Viking

EDIT: The image is a gif, but i don’t know why if you didn’t click is stop.

Progress Day 2

Only a few details more and the game is finished to the Jam (72 hours) deadline.
