I've made tons of progress. The concept is that every bullet is a lightbulb, so every shot makes the screen a bit darker. Spend them wisely!
This is why I love Ludum Dare. I've never done that before, and I've never implemented slopes either, but that didn't stop me in LD37!

I have basically everything done, just need to polish and determine what I want as walls...
I released "One In the Chamber, One In the Socket" today, and I have to say, it's my best game yet!

It also marks my first successful attempt at pathfinding with A*! Check it out here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/one-in-the-chamber-one-in-the-socket
Can somebody using windows check if my game works? It does for me but I've gotten tons of reports saying it doesn't work. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/one-in-the-chamber-one-in-the-socket
I just created a mac build from a mac and want to see if it works on other computers. People also keep on reporting a white screen "Not responding" error on windows, which I think I fixed. Could somebody on each of these OS's test it out? https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/one-in-the-chamber-one-in-the-socket
I’m in for my 5th LD in a row, and I can’t wait! One of my suggested themes finally got past the slaughter, and got into the final round! Into the Unknown. :)
I hope everyone does well and I wish everyone good luck!
Going to work on enemies and level building now.

And the more vulnerable you are. Here's what I have so far:

The Princess stole your heart and you need to get it back piece by piece. You realize quickly that the more emotions you have, the stronger and more plentiful the enemies, because you're more vulnerable

Was surprisingly fast, just took a long time to make the tileset.

I need to make it easier, it took way to long just to record this footage.

My rythm based bullet hell, Space Beats, has been released!

It's so stressful having so many people come play my game and then complain about something not working, and then not give it another try when it works. It's also really frustrating when people leave reviews without playing, which some people have done. Reviewing as a whole is very hard for me to bare, I guess I'll just have to change my perspective.
Dungeoneer is a short bullet hell roguelike. I'm an idiot and waited for the last moment to play other people's games. If you leave your game in the comments of this post and review my game I will review yours!

My game got off to a good start so I had to grind out a ton of reviews to finally get some more, I leave detailed feedback on every game I play and now have more reviews given than received but my smart score is still awful. Does anyone have any advice? Not sure what more I could be doing.
Edit: this is more a comment on the smart rating system, I’m willing to leave plenty of comments and reviews, it just doesn’t seem like it should be this low given how many ratings I’ve given
