The more you have...

...the worse it gets?

B-But more is always better, isn't it? Not, when you are making music :D

We are trying ourselves on a music puzzle game. There will be a short story mode as tutorial and then infinitely brutal arcade mode! Hue hue hue

Already dropping features

Okay, okay only the arcade mode survived. Also, first assets are ready: 10 of approximately 20 loops, the stage (a.k.a. the level) and work and the first icons has begun!

Nice. Real nice.

Things are coming along quite well (with the exception of a few UI thingies that do not bend to our will).

We have 15 samples for our loop structure, the basic code for creating loops is done, a few models for our instruments and a good feeling for our finished product, I think we all are pretty happy with it.

Also, square grand pianos. square piano.png

Pizza, pizza

Well, let's have a break. And some pizza.

Untitled game is untitled

no longer! Ha!

Our game is now called 'Interview at Cacophony', where you try to get the famous job as conductor at the great Cacophony Opera house.

Good night

End of day 1, approximately 13 hours of work and: - 21 loops from 14 different instruments - Complete stage - 13 icons - lighting and most of the gameplay

thanks to @parttimeindie and @christoph, they were amazing guests

Loopdiloop

I built a drum loop of 4bars in 130bpm and 4/4. Then I used a D-Major scale for every other instrument. The loops loosely fit together. In our game you hear one 'cacophony' of 3 or more instruments and get presented about twice as much. You have to select which instruments you heared.

Polishing!

Only 8 items on our to-do list, let's get to it!
